I remember Harvey. I worked for him in 1977-78, between graduating from MIT and entering law school. I worked on the field testing of the Surlyn-coated 2 liter RR bottle that Pam Windom refers to above as the "frog bottle.".

I learned an enormous amount from Harvey during that brief period about how big organizations manage innovation. He was one of the best people I've ever worked for, and I've always measured other bosses against him.

Hey Joan! Wow, small world. It just popped into my head, really. It's just one of those things... My mom has always spoken so well of Chris and Harvey- and they were (are) so nice.
But it is his blog that had a real impact on me and touched my heart. So I just felt like sharing this. I actually have quit High Fructose Corn Syrup but every once in a while will treat myself to a real-sugar Coca-Cola!

Hey Baltimore Gal! I am Chris' (Taylor) sister, Joan. My sister, Fran, stumbled across your blog here by accident a week or so ago. Can't tell you how sweetly surprised we all were when Fran passed it along! We finally figured out who you were by showing it to Chris just yesterday! What prompted you to write about Harvey and Coke at this time (July 2009) anyway?

Even though I try to drink healthier drinks and stay away from soda, now and then it does taste very good. And Coke is my choice as well!

I'm working hard to break my addiction to pop (Coke, Diet Coke, Diet Dr. Pepper, etc.), but Coke is clearly the superior product. LOVE it.

It's being said that coke can clean the oil stain from the engine. From there on..I stopped drinking coke & pepsi
